Dr John Fricker OAM
Dr Fricker PhD(ANU) MDSc(USyd) Grad Dip Ed FRACDS FICD FPFA FADI, is a specialist orthodontist with over 45 years of clinical experience in both the public and private sectors. Dr Fricker is currently the only orthodontist serving the ACT public dental service and works extensively with young patients with complex dental/orthodontics needs.
He is a Fellow of the RACDS, International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International Academy of Dentistry. In 2010 he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to Dentistry.
Dr Fricker has a strong interest in professional education, outcomes from his PhD, exploring the educational development of dental practitioners, informing continuing professional development design and execution. Dr Fricker brings extensive experience from within the field of minimum intervention preventive dentistry as a clinical educator and examiner for several Australian Dental Schools.

Dr Erica Yates, BDS, MPH, GradDip Bus, FPFA
Dr Yates has worked in Dentistry for over 44 years. Her early experiences in both public and private practice sparked an interest in further training. Dr Yates completed a graduate degree in Business, then a Master’s in Public Health, being awarded a Fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy and her service in the Royal Australian Navy (as the ground breaking first female dentist in the RAN) with an Australian Defence Medal. She has worked in Australia, US and UK in medical and dental academia, including as A/Prof in Dentistry, UWA.
Dr Yates holds world leading experience in the innovative use of digital tools for haptic training in operative dentistry, her teaching expertise is in the field of evidence based cariology (the study of tooth decay) and minimum intervention dentistry, for dental students and auxiliary practitioners.

Lara Croydon
Lara is a proud Gudjal / Gudjala Kabulba woman. She is a producer and performer based in Brisbane and has worked in events and public programming for the last decade. Lara is currently part of the Corporate Engagement team at QUT. She is passionate about improving the lives of First Nations people and creating safe inclusive spaces for marginalised communities.

Michael is a technical leader with 14+ years experience delivering AI/ML and investment solutions across finance, fintech, consulting, education and enterprise environments. He has proven expertise in Generative AI advisory and implementation, including a track record of delivering business value through innovative AI and data applications.

Kate Betts
Kate is a health law and policy specialist, experienced litigator and dispute resolution expert.
Through her work with and for private and public sector health clients and their insurers for close to 20 years, Kate has developed a deep understanding of the way the Australian heath care system is funded, organised, managed and operated.
Kate leads Corrs Chambers Westgarth's health law and policy and Brisbane litigation teams.

Michael Steel
Michael’s career spans more than 50 years in IT, ranging from software development and support to project and line management, and sales/marketing in public and private organisations. Michael served as the CIO (Chief Information Officer) for Visa Asia-Pacific Region for many years, and holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, and Master of Arts.

James Bayliss
James is Senior Policy Officer with the Preventive Health SA, the South Australian State Government’s lead preventive health agency. He brings over a decade of experience in public health, spanning both the not-for-profit and public sectors.
With Masters and Undergraduate degrees in Public Health and a Graduate Certificate in Business, James has focused his career on innovative, equitable approaches to improving population health.
