Our partners

At FRED, we know that change only happens in partnership. We’re proud to be working alongside a diverse group of people with lived expertise and values-aligned organisations spanning community services, research institutes, hospitals, and regional health networks.

These partners bring local knowledge, clinical expertise, research insight and deep community trust. Together, we are developing, trialling and evaluating new digital products and platforms to support health and community service professionals across Australia to embed simple and effective preventive oral health into their everyday care.

  • The Healthy Communities Foundation Australia

Originally founded as Rural and Remote Medical Services (RARMS), The Healthy Communities Foundation Australia (THCFA) has supported over 70 communities across Australia to sustain local healthcare services.

Today, they lead innovative programs in Collarenebri (Galariinbaraay) and beyond, with a mission to address the social determinants of health and empower communities to co-design their own care. THCFA brings deep experience in rural health systems, community-led innovation and digital health strategy.

Together, we’ll trial digital tools and platforms in regional and remote settings to build health workforce capacity and improve oral health literacy.

  • St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney

St Vincent’s Hospital’s Homeless Health Service works across Sydney to provide medical care, advocacy and connection for people who are sleeping rough or experiencing unstable housing. They do this by offering outreach health support to people where they sleep, or where they spend time during the day.

Their multidisciplinary team is made up of nurses, doctors, allied health staff, Aboriginal Health Workers and peer support workers.   They understand that oral health challenges are widespread and often invisible in this population.

Together, we’ll ensure our digital tools and platforms embed preventive oral health support into trusted healthcare settings, making science-based guidance accessible for people who are systemically excluded.

  • Plus Community

Plus Community provides a range of support services to meet the needs of individuals and their families, including Domestic and Family Violence Support, Employment Support, Homelessness Support, Post Release Support and Housing Support (via Housing Plus).

Their service, The Orchard, provides specialist domestic and family violence support services in Orange, NSW. With a strong history of trauma-informed care, The Orchard recognises that small, empowering steps like dental support can be a powerful part of their clients’ healing journeys.

Our teams share a long-standing connection through clinical and community practice, and are working together to ensure our digital tools and platforms are shaped by the needs of women and children experiencing vulnerability.

  • Charles Sturt University

The Rural Health Research Institute (RHRI) at Charles Sturt University conducts research that addresses the rural health gap in communities across regional and remote Australia and internationally.

Its purpose is to transform health outcomes in Regional Australia and globally through delivering world class research whilst driving its translation locally, nationally, and internationally.

The RHRI will evaluate the effectiveness of our digital tools and platforms, measure the outcomes achieved, and undertake a social return on investment analysis.
